The majority of the population in the world seeks to obtain security through established job positions which provide consistent employment.
Zuel Rana selected a path that differed from conventional expectations. He selected the earth He selected the narratives of agricultural workers. He selected the serene verses of Bangladesh’s countryside.
He created one of the most heartfelt Facebook presences in Bangladesh through his work on the page called ‘চিত্ত মিডিয়া’. His current following base of millions originated from a different point in his life. He started his career with a question which led him to find answers.
From Law Graduate to Storyteller of the Soil
Zuel Rana earned his Master’s degree in Law from Islamic University in 2018. He entered advocacy work just as most graduates do and he dedicated four years to developing his legal career. His father, a farmer, wanted his son to follow the same path which most parents want their children to take toward becoming successful and dependable members of society. Zuel encountered a void which he discovered while walking through the court building’s corridors.
He began to ask himself a fundamental yet significant question which he used to search for his own path to happiness.
The answer did not come from books or legal files because it originated from agricultural land.
Zuel spent his childhood in a farming environment where he experienced the agricultural cycle and natural cycles of the earth.
He observed the color change that occurs in paddy fields before the harvest and he experienced the unique winter morning silence and he observed how storms would cause tree damage but trees would continue their struggle to survive.
He discovered that these stories about soil and struggle and survival and hidden beauty remained unknown to people because they presented an emotional connection.
He made a bold choice on February 4, 2025.
He created a Facebook page called চিত্ত মিডিয়া.
It was not a business plan.
It was a calling.
The Rise of চিত্ত মিডিয়া
The initial purpose of documenting rural life developed into a project that produced unexpected results.
Within just a year, চিত্ত মিডিয়া grew into a community of over 3.6 million followers on Facebook. Some of his videos have gained views between 20 million and 30 million.
His success cannot be understood through numbers which exist as his only measure of achievement. Viewers choose to watch Juwel Rana because they want to experience his content.
The Magic of His Storytelling
Imagine this scene:
An elderly farmer using his cows to plough his fields during a time when machines control all agricultural work. The sun hangs low. Dust rises softly. A man in a shirt and pant walks beside him, gently asking about his life, his struggles, his joys.
In another scenario, it shows a small bamboo hut which stands above a fish enclosure. It is dusk. A flock of cormorants sits quietly, drying their wings. A single white egret stands nearby. Against this serene backdrop, Juwel speaks, weaving in references from Bengali literature, including the famous “Pankouri’r Rokto” by Al Mahmud. The birds eventually fly back toward their nests as the video ends, like a poem closing its final line.
In yet another story, a date palm tree lies bent across a vast field, perhaps damaged by a sudden storm. The owner did not cut it down. And the tree, despite its broken posture, continues to give sweet sap drop by drop during the winter months.
His videos are not just documentation. They are reflections. They are philosophy wrapped in simplicity.
Agriculture as Living Art
Zuel believes agricultu Artis not just labor, it is art.
When he talks about farmers’ struggles, seasonal diversity, and rural life, he does so with emotional depth. He does not preach. He does not dramatize. He observes. He listens. He respects.
His goal is not only to educate or entertain, but to create a philosophical understanding around the lives of farmers.
He travels throughout Jhenaidah and Chuadanga and their neighboring areas together with his small team which includes Ikramul Kabir and Hasanuzzaman. The three of them wait for the correct combination of sounds and lights and moments to arrive. He spends hours of his day waiting for the opportunity to record a dove’s call. He spends his nights deep in the field to capture the sound of a fox. Authenticity holds importance.
The Hardest Part: Earning Trust
One of the biggest challenges he faces is not actually technology. His main obstacle is the need to establish trust. The villagers show a common tendency to avoid speaking when a camera is present. They feel shy. They fear judgment. Capturing their genuine thoughts requires patience and respect.
Juwel understands that.
He doesn’t treat rural people as ‘subjects’. He treats them as storytellers.
And slowly, they open up.
He feels successful when viewers message him saying that his videos remind them of their childhood in the village.
A Different Kind of Success
Zuel Rana lives in Jhenaidah town with his wife Nisha and their three-year-old daughter Jessy. His parents and sister live in their village home.
He could have continued his legal career. He could have chosen stability over uncertainty.
Instead, he chose meaning.
He once said something that perfectly captures his spirit:
“If everyone runs after jobs, then who will describe the beauty and flavor of this world? For that, we need a few mad people.
Why People Love Him
Zuel Rana is becoming one of the most beloved and popular content creators in Bangladesh because of his genuine nature, which he shows through his work. His storytelling creates a comfortable atmosphere which makes the audience feel at home. His presence feels honest. The essential value of his work exists as a fundamental requirement. The present world of fast movement and loud sounds gets interrupted by the existence of চিত্ত মিডিয়া which provides people with a chance to experience a slower paLand
More Than Content, A Cultural movement
What Zuel Rana is building is more than a Facebook page.
He is creating a digital archive of rural memory. He is bridging generations. He is restoring respect for farmers. He is creating something powerful through his combination of literature, philosophy and agriculture.
He uses through চিত্ত মিডিয়া to help millions of people who live in urban areas to reconnect with their agricultural roots. That might be his most significant achievement.
The Man Who Listened to the Land
In the end, Zuel Rana’s journey teaches us something simple yet profound:
Success is not always about becoming what society expects.
Sometimes, it is about becoming what your heart quietly whispers.
He left the courtroom.
He walked into the fields. He picked up a camera.
And through চিত্ত মিডিয়া, he gave rural Bangladesh a voice the world cannot ignore anymore.
